Opencd

For those interested in doing an "Open CD" distribution project in other communities the following CD is being made available. It contains OpenOffice.org (office suite), Firefox (web browser), Thunderbird (email client), GAIM (instant messaging), and Nvu (web page editor). The CD contains versions of these applications from late February. Once users are transitioned to open source applications switching to GNU/Linux is a fairly painless process. When the CD is inserted an application will start automatically. The user can then select which applications they would like to install from the CD.
